First specimens of Yo-mobile were introduced to Putin
Several first Yo-cars were introduced to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Friday. He decided to use one of these cars to drive to the president’s residence in Gorki to attend coming Security Council meeting. Head of government chose sports cross coupe. Putin took the driver’s seat, and Yo auto director general Andrey Biryukov took the seat at his right. Mikhail Prokhorov, the head of ONEXIM group, who is funding the project, took another Yo car, microvan. Procession of two Yo cars headed to Medvedev’s residence Gorki followed by the security.
Mersedes Benz motors manufacturer will collaborate with Yo-mobile
Official foreign partners of Yo auto in manufacturing Yo car auto became known today. These are “WeberMotors” and “Dieffenbacher GmbH” companies. Note that “WeberMotors” is an engine manufacturer and has long collaboration with Mersedes Benz. “Dieffenbacher GmbH” is well known for its compressing systems and car equipment. A lot of other foreign companies are also interested in the collaboration, but they are not specified. Thorough negotiation is held with “Sibur” concerning manufacturing composites for the Yo car body.

Yo-mobile is a project of “Yo-auto” company headed by Andrey Biryukov and Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov.
Yo car is a hybrid car with electrical transmission and energy facility driven by the electromotors. The car utilizes gasoline 92 and natural gas. That allows driving as much as 1000 kilometers without refueling.
Maximum speed is limited by 130 km per hour by electronics. It forces driver to break traffic regulations rarely, developers believe.“Yo-auto”, developer of the car, expects prices not to exceed 350-450 thousand roubles (10 thousand dollars). This price is valid for the initial period of selling as stated by the developers. Actual price will depend on the demand, and since Yo car is designed as a “national” one it should be far less.
Yo-microvan, Yo-cross-coupe and Yo-furgon are the first in the line-up. The presentation took place in December, 13 in the yo-pavilion near the ONEXIM group office. The first restyling, Yo cross coupe, was presented in February, 21. The main difference in cross coupe is the number of doors – there are five of them. Inside of a car is thoroughly redesigned. Five persons can takes seats now.
Boot is also changed. Its volume is 450 liters now, and can be increased to 1100 liters if one folds backs. Ground clearance of the five-door cross coupe is increased by 10 mm and its height now is 210 mm.
